Memory Care Unit
The Laurels of West Carrollton has developed an Alzheimer’s/Dementia Specialty Care Unit for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia related disorders. This specialized unit enables guests to reach and maintain their highest possible level of independence through daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
We provide a caring, personalized, and structured environment which features:
- 24-hour licensed nursing staff trained to work with Alzheimer's disease and dementia-related disorders
- A low stimulus environment
- Specialized activities, seven days a week
- Family education, counseling, and support
- Management of behavioral concerns
